2008 Trips - (Remaining)

#5 - Puerto Rico : September 24th-28th  (booked) - This will be a 4 night trip to relax and do some scuba diving at La Parguera (3 two-tank dives with West Divers). I will stay at Parguera Guest House, while there. This will probably be a solo trip, unless someone else wants to join me. 

#6 - Guatemala : November 21st-30th - This will be a solo trip to visit the Maya Ruins of Aguateca, Dos Pilas, Seibal, Naranjo, La Blanca, and Xultun, unless someone else wants to join me. Any of these sites may be difficult to get to due to the fact it will still be in the rainy season there. Also, I will hopefully be able to visit with Merlina Barnes and the librarian at Biblioteca La Crucenita in Santa Cruz, to drop off some more books for the library there and visit Lake Atitlan, as well as the Maya Ruins of Iximche'. This will also be a solo trip, unless someone else wants to join me.    

2009 Trips - (Future)

#1 - Mexico - (Yucatan/Campeche)

Myself, Mark George, and Darrell Goins will go on this trip in mid-January. Others are welcome to join us.

Saturday - Fly into Cancun, pick up rental car, drive to Valladolid, Hotel del Marques for the night in Valladolid.

Sunday - Visit the Maya Ruins of Ek Balam, Kantunil, Izamal, and Ake'. Holiday Inn Hotel for the night in Merida, provided by me with my Priority Club points.

Monday - Visit the Maya Ruins of Dzibilchaltun, Acanceh, and Mayapan. Dinner at Restaurant Los Alemendros, Hotel del Plaza for the night in Ticul.

Tuesday - Visit the Maya Ruins of Uxmal, Labna, Xlapak, Sayil, and Kabah. Hotel del Plaza for the night in Ticul.

Wednesday - Visit the Mani Convent and the Maya Ruins of Oxkintok. Dinner at Restaurant La Parrilla, Hotel del Paseo for the night in Campeche. 

Thursday - Visit the Maya Ruins of Edzna, Dzibilnocac, Hochob, and Tabasqueno. Hotel del Paseo for the night in Campeche. 

Friday - Visit the Spanish Fort of San Luis in Campeche and the Museum of Anthropology in Merida. Holiday Inn Hotel for the night in Merida, provided by me with my Priority Club points.

Saturday - Drive back to Cancun, turn rental car in, Ferry to Isla Mujeres, Hotel Los Arcos for the night at Isla Mujeres.

Sunday - Ferry back to Cancun, Ado bus to airport, fly home.

#2 - Mexico - (Campeche) - This trip will be to visit the Maya Ruins of Chicanna, Hormiguero, Rio Bec, Calakmul, Balamku, Nadzcaan, Becan, Manos Rojas, Oxpemul, Ramonal, Payan, and Xpuhil. Myself, Dwayne Shreve, Scott Turner, Dieter Richter, Raul Noriega, and others will go on this trip in mid-April. 

#3 - 2009 Trip Giveaway (Belize, Guatemala, or Honduras) - Myself and whoever wins the drawing October 1st, 2008 will go on this trip in June, July, or August of 2009. 

#4 - Mexico - (Cozumel) - I will go scuba diving (14 dives) Thanksgiving Week. Anyone is welcome to join me.

#5 - Mexico - (Isla Mujeres) - This will be a 5 day scuba diving trip which I will squeeze in sometime during the year (summer). I will take my nephew on this trip to obtain his PADI open-water diving certification.  

2010 Trips -  (Possibilities)

#1 - Peru - This trip will be to visit the Inca Ruins of Machu-Picchu.

#2 - Guatemala/Belize - This trip will be to visit the Maya Ruins of Naachtun in Guatemala, as well as a few other sites nearby, and do some fishing on the Monkey River in Belize. Myself, Dwayne Shreve, and Steve Ballor may go on this trip in February.  

#3 - Mexico - This trip will be to visit the Maya Ruins of Palenque, Tonina, and Comalcalco. Also, I will visit the Totonac Ruins of El Tajin, near Vera Cruz.
