Walfre Chi
Walfre
worked for 12 seasons with the "Nakum, Naranjo, Yaxhá Archaeological
Project", before starting out on his own as a guide. He is a very earnest
fellow, whom some call "Doble", because he normally works twice as
hard as anyone else. I've used him three times in the past and was very happy
with the services he provided. He made a point of trying to find the English
word to identify for a particular animal or bird, and any of the many times
there was any hacking through vegetation, he was in the thick of it with his
machete.
He is currently leading trips to El Zotz, but can also take you to many other sites in the Peten, such as: Yaxha, Naranjo, Nakum, Rio Azul, Kinal, Holmul, Chochkitam, La Honradez, Xultun, Uaxactun, Tikal, etc..
